Overnight Room Service Server/Coordinator (Part-Time)

About the role

The Overnight Room Service Server/Coordinator plays a key role in delivering seamless room service while supporting the smooth running of operations overnight. Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering food orders including any special needs or requests to the guest in-room.
• Checking completed kitchen orders with the order taker or guest's original order; transporting items to the guestroom in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality.
• Greeting guests, describing selected items to the guest using interesting, and vivid descriptions of each item’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods; communicating options for removal of trays and dishware; responding to request for tray removal according to established time standards.
• Breakdown, cleaning, and setting up of room service tables, condiment set-ups, flatware, dishware, and room service side stations.
• Anticipating guest needs, ascertaining satisfaction, and offering suggestions; responding urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
• Properly and accurately closing guest checks securing room number and signature; properly settling voided checks or complimentary meals.
• Setting up the lobby coffee service and ensuring specialty coffee machine is in working order.
• Inputting all breakfast pre-orders into Micros and completing the dry setup of them.
• Ensuring the AM team is set up for success by completing AM shift mise en place.
• Completing any final prep work.

Requirements

• Previous experience working Overnight shifts required.
• At least one year of food service highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Excellent English verbal and written skills.
• The ability to communicate in a warm and friendly manner over the telephone.
• The ability to keep an organized work area and prioritize guest requests in a detail-oriented manner.
• The ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
• ServSafe certified.
