Overnight Registered Veterinary Technician, ECC

Schedule
- Full-time
- 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
- Daytime or Overnight ICU opportunities available
- Overnight shift differential applied per hour
Pay
- RVT Level 2 & 3: $32–$42/hour (based on experience and demonstrated ICU competency)
- VTS: $38–$45/hour
- Experienced ICU Veterinary Assistants considered based on background
- $2,000 sign-on bonus
- Highly competitive wages based on experience and skill set
About The Role
Join a structured ICU environment where you’ll work alongside board-certified Surgeons, Neurologists, Internists, Cardiologists, Oncologists, Radiologists, Ophthalmologists, and Criticalists caring for complex post-operative and medically intensive patients. Our ICU primarily manages:
- Neurosurgical recoveries
- Advanced orthopedic and soft tissue post-operative cases
- Internal medicine critical patients
- Escalated ER transfers requiring specialty oversight
This is a high-responsibility ICU position requiring strong monitoring skills, critical thinking, and confidence managing medically complex patients, especially during overnight shifts.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage post-surgical and specialty ICU patients
- Monitor advanced pain protocols and CRIs
- Trend and interpret complex vital parameters
- Support anesthetic recovery for high-acuity cases
- Communicate directly with Criticalists and specialty teams
- Provide compassionate and professional client communication during critical hospitalizations
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical documentation
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years ER or specialty ICU experience
Demonstrated Competency In
- CRI setup and management
- Advanced anesthetic recovery monitoring
- Blood product administration
- Neurologic patient monitoring
- Independent clinical decision-making within scope
