About the Role

The Operations Associate assists the Product Lifecycle Manager with daily material handling in a retail branch location, achieving operational goals through effective receiving, stocking, and presentation strategies that support sales, merchandising, order fulfillment, and inventory teams.

Responsibilities

  • Execute efficient receiving and put-away of incoming stock using pallet jacks, carts, and/or powered equipment.
  • Ensure a high level of organization and neatness while completing daily restocking tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with Merchandising and Inventory teams to stock products in correct merchandising locations.
  • Address operational issues with the Product Lifecycle Manager.
  • Rotate stock (FIFO) and pull damaged and expired products as needed.
  • Perform additional tasks and support initiatives as assigned by management to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain overall cleanliness of the store.

Physical Requirements

  • Work performed while standing and/or walking, up to 9 hours/day.
  • Ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
  • Regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
  • Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50 lbs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in retail and/or supply chain management.
  • High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the business model and a strong work ethic.
  • Basic customer service skills and ability to function well with coworkers.
  • Strong verbal communication and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Working Environment

  • Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts and vehicles.
  • Exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, dust, fumes, and gases.
  • Noise level usually quiet to moderate.
  • Average and normal passage of employees through the work area.
