Overnight Operations Associate

About the role

The Operations Associate assists the Overnight Operations Manager with all aspects of daily material handling in a retail branch location, achieving operational goals through effective receiving, stocking, and presentation strategies that align with sales, merchandising, order fulfillment, and inventory teams.

Responsibilities

• Execute efficient receiving and put-away of incoming stock using pallet jacks, carts, and/or powered equipment
• Ensure a high level of organization and neatness while completing daily restocking tasks
• Communicate effectively with the Overnight Operations Manager to sufficiently stock products in correct merchandising locations
• Address any operational issues with the Overnight Operations Manager
• Rotate stock (FIFO) and pull damaged and expired products as needed
• Perform additional tasks and support initiatives as assigned by management to ensure smooth location operations and alignment with overall business goals
• Maintain the overall cleanliness of the store

Physical Requirements

• Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 9 hours/day
• Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing
• Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations
• Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching
• Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50 lbs

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in retail and/or supply chain management
• This role does not require a degree; relevant skills and experience are valued

Skills

• Demonstrated knowledge of retail/supply chain business models and a strong work ethic
• Basic customer service skills and ability to function well with coworkers
• Strong verbal communication skills and ability to think critically
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
