Radiology Associates of Florida (RAF) seeks a full-time overnight neuroradiologist to staff the overnight shift at Tampa General Hospital. This academic position offers a 100% focused neuro case mix, remote work, and a 7-on/14-off schedule with flexible starting hours based on candidate preference.

About the Role

In Tampa, we serve a growing healthcare system that is a stroke center of excellence. The role involves collaboration with other RAF divisions across Florida, providing an optimal study mix. We perform a full breadth of neuroradiology examinations, including trauma, stroke (with CT perfusion using RAPID software), oncology, dementia, movement disorders, and functional MRI.

We are affiliated with the University of South Florida, with 8 residents per year and one neuroradiology fellow. The ideal candidate has an interest in teaching neuroradiology, particularly to the fellow, and may have the opportunity for a faculty appointment. Dedicated didactic lectures are welcome but not required.

Our team-based practice allows collaboration with an experienced team of subspecialists. We offer an internal moonlighting program with unmatched flexibility, enabling radiologists to moonlight from home as desired without committing to extra shifts.

Practice and Community Overview

RAF is the largest radiology practice in Florida, serving prestigious health systems across the state, including Tampa, the east and west coasts, the Florida Panhandle, and the Keys. Our scale provides stability and flexibility in study mix and scheduling.

We prioritize quality and cutting-edge radiology, encouraging subspecialty-level interpretations and facilitating collaboration among radiologists. Our state-of-the-art IT suite includes universal PACS, AI tools, and integrated communication widgets. The practice is locally and democratically led, with decisions made by the group at large.

We serve as teaching physicians for the University of South Florida Department of Radiology in Tampa and the Florida State University College of Medicine in Sarasota, hosting medical students and residents from FSU’s Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine programs.

Tampa offers year-round sunshine, a sparkling waterfront, world-class dining, and family-friendly attractions. Florida has no state income, estate, or inheritance tax.
