Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that ensures good relationships with guests, vendors, co-workers, and management.
• Assist all housekeeping personnel in the performance of heavy-duty work as directed by the Executive Housekeeper.
• Remove dirty linen from cleaning carts or designated area and deliver to laundry as assigned.
• Clean all guest corridors, floors, fireplaces, ovens, elevators and landings, linen closets, guest laundry, exercise room, employee lounge, and other public areas as assigned.
• Remove trash from cleaning carts and deposit in dumpsters.
• Identify and report preventative or other maintenance issues in public areas or guest rooms.
• Clean, maintain, and store cleaning equipment.
• Dust and polish metal work.
• Help the room attendants with heavy lifting when necessary.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must be available to work 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM on weekdays, holidays, and weekends.
• Ability to effectively communicate information and respond to questions from managers, co-workers, vendors, and customers.
• Must speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, lift, and walk for extended periods of time.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place heavy objects.
