Overnight Housekeeping & Stewarding Supervisor
Overview
The Overnight Housekeeping & Stewarding Supervisor oversees the overnight operation of the Housekeeping and Stewarding teams to ensure all public areas, back-of-house areas, associate spaces, kitchens, meeting rooms, corridors, and service areas meet Omni standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the overnight Housekeeping and Stewarding teams.
- Assign and prioritize nightly work assignments, projects, and deep cleaning schedules.
- Inspect public areas, meeting spaces, associate areas, kitchens, restrooms, service corridors, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and presentation standards are maintained.
- Ensure all overnight cleaning projects are completed according to department standards and timelines.
- Maintain sanitation and food safety standards throughout all food and beverage preparation and storage areas.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, inspection reports, project tracking, and shift communication notes.
- Partner with Housekeeping and Stewarding leadership to ensure seamless overnight operations.
- Respond swiftly and effectively to guest requests, emergency situations, and operational needs.
Qualifications
- Minimum one year of supervisory experience in Housekeeping, Stewarding, or hotel operations required.
- Previous experience in one or both housekeeping and stewarding operations preferred.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
- Excellent communication and guest service skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize multiple assignments and lead in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, sanitation practices, and safety standards.
- Computer literacy including payroll, scheduling, and hotel operating systems.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and performance at all times.
- Must be able to work overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and special events as business levels require.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Ability to bend, squat, kneel, stretch, reach overhead, and climb stairs frequently.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in guest areas, kitchens, outdoor spaces, and back-of-house environments.
