Overnight Hotel Operations Supervisor ($32.25/hour)
Hyatt Regency Bellevue on Seattle's Eastside is seeking an experienced Overnight Hotel Operations Supervisor to oversee the overnight operations of a 732-room, full-service hotel.
About the role
This leadership position is responsible for the safe, efficient, and guest-focused operation of the hotel overnight. As the primary decision-maker during the shift, you will lead the response to guest concerns, operational incidents, and building-related issues while partnering closely with Front Office, Engineering, and Security. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, exercises sound judgment, and is comfortable making independent decisions. This role works closely with the overnight engineer and requires a strong understanding of hotel operations and building systems.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the overnight operations for the hotel while maintaining Hyatt service standards.
- Make independent operational decisions and coordinate communication between Front Office, Engineering, Security, and other departments.
- Respond to escalated guest concerns and service recovery situations.
- Handle guest disturbances, noise complaints, and other sensitive situations with professionalism while enforcing hotel policies.
- Assist with VIP arrivals and other operational needs as required.
- Coordinate and lead the hotel's response to emergencies, building system issues, and operational disruptions, including power outages, water leaks, elevator issues, and fire alarms.
- Partner with the overnight engineer to assess building-related concerns and prioritize response efforts.
- Conduct regular property walks to identify safety, security, and operational concerns.
- Complete incident reports and communicate significant issues to hotel leadership.
- Provide leadership and support to the Night Audit and Front Office teams.
- Ensure completion of overnight operational and financial procedures.
- Support a smooth transition to the morning leadership team.
Requirements
- Three or more years of leadership experience in hotel operations, engineering, facilities, security, or a related operational environment.
- Previous Manager on Duty or hotel leadership experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of hotel building systems and life safety procedures.
- Strong conflict resolution, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Experience with Opera PMS, HotSOS, or similar hotel systems preferred.
- Ability to remain calm, prioritize effectively, and deliver exceptional guest service during high-pressure situations.
- This position requires frequent walking throughout the property and responding to guest and operational concerns.
Pay
The hourly rate for this position starts at $31.00/hour plus night differential pay of $1.25/hour, totaling $32.25/hour.
