Overnight Histotechnologist or Histotechnician

About the Role

The Histology team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is seeking overnight Histotechnologists or Histotechnicians to join their team. The role involves processing and sectioning tissue specimens to support cancer research and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Section paraffin and frozen tissue specimens as requested
• Perform basic histology techniques (embedding, microtomy, tissue processing)
• Analyze and troubleshoot equipment-related issues
• Maintain vital quality control and assurance records

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field with knowledge of Biology and Chemistry
• NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Technician, or Certified Histology Technician license preferred
• Eligibility to obtain NYS license required

• Ability to perform dilutions and laboratory calculations

Schedule

• Tuesday – Saturday, or Sunday – Thursday
• Overnight hours
• 100% onsite
• 10% differential for overnight schedule

Pay

• Pay Range: $47.23 - $75.59
• FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
