Histotechnologist or Histotechnician (Overnight)

About the role

We are currently seeking overnight Histotechnologists or Histotechnicians to join our Histology team!

Responsibilities

• Paraffin and frozen tissue specimens as requested.
• Basic histology techniques (e.g. embed, microtomy, process tissue).
• Analyze and troubleshoot equipment-related issues.
• Maintains vital quality control and assurance records.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field with knowledge of Biology, Chemistry.
• NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Technician, or Certified Histology Technician license preferred.
• Eligibility to obtain NYS license required.

Additional Information

• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM or 1 AM to 9:00 AM, 100% onsite.
• Location: Main Hospital Campus, 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY.
• Reporting to: Histology Supervisor.

Pay Range

$46.26 - $74.00 FSLA Status: Non-Exempt
