Overnight Guest Services Attendant Part- Time

About the role

The Guest Services Attendant creates a strong sense of arrival for hotel, restaurant and banquet guests. They arrange for cars to be parked or retrieved, provide transportation for guests, and ensure guests depart smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests who arrive by private car, taxi, or limo by opening their car door and welcoming them to the hotel.
• Affords guests who arrive on foot a verbal greeting and opens hotel doors for them.
• Issues appropriate valet parking tickets to guests who want their car parked.
• Directs guest cars and taxis to the appropriate positions and directs valet parkers to park cars.
• Provides guests with directions, recommendations, and information about the city and its attractions.
• Hails taxis as needed.
• Loads luggage in car for departing guests.
• Escorts guests to their rooms.
• Delivers luggage to room upon check-in and picks up luggage from room upon departure, moving the luggage to storage or the Front Drive.
• Maintains proper records of deliveries and pick-ups.
• Performs shoeshine service; picking up shoes from guest room, cleaning and polishing them and returning them to the guest.
• Performs errands for guests and the hotel that may require local travel off of the hotel property.
• Handles all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; resolves customer complaints, assists customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, directions, etc.

Requirements

• Engaging attitude with genuine desire to assist all guests.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of related experience preferred.
