Overnight Gate Attendant

About the role

Poly-America, L.P. produces several lines of polyethylene products including high‑quality trash bags, construction and agricultural films. Front Gate Attendants work a yearly set schedule of 4 days on and 4 days off with 12‑hour shifts; the days of the week worked rotate from week to week.

Responsibilities

• Monitor employee access to the facility.
• Scale shipments and deliveries and release them through a software‑based system.
• Register all visitors properly and ensure they are directed to the appropriate departments.
• Communicate with various departments to announce visitors, issues, or emergencies.
• Perform additional responsibilities and opportunities as they become necessary and/or are assigned by management.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills; bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• A current U.S. driver’s license (CDL not required).
• Ability to work a night shift or a day shift as assigned by management.
• Aptitude and desire to learn Poly‑America procedures.
• Successfully passing a drug screen is required.
• Candidates located in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, or California are not eligible to apply.

Schedule

• 4 days on / 4 days off rotation (12‑hour shifts).
• Days worked rotate weekly across all days of the week.
• Shift assignment (day or night) determined by management.
