About the Overnight Freight Clerk Position

The Overnight Freight Team keeps Bi‑Mart stores organized, well‑stocked, and ready for each business day. Freight Clerks unload freight, organize inventory, stock merchandise, and prepare the sales floor before customers arrive. The role requires efficiency, accuracy, safety, and attention to detail while working both independently and collaboratively to meet nightly freight goals.

Responsibilities

• Safely unload delivery trucks.
• Move merchandise throughout the store.
• Stock shelves and ensure products are accurately placed and displayed.
• Maintain an organized backroom.
• Work independently and as part of a team to complete nightly freight goals.
• Follow safe work practices and keep the work area clean.

Qualifications

• Dependable with excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, and move merchandise throughout the shift.
• Strong organizational skills; able to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude with a strong work ethic.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Commitment to following safe work practices and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
• Previous experience as a cashier, sales associate, bagger, warehouse worker, or other retail positions is a plus.
• Experience at retail brands such as Target, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Fred Meyer, Safeway, or Albertsons is an asset.

Schedule

This is an overnight position operating outside normal business hours. Team members typically work four 10‑hour overnight shifts per week. Scheduled days and hours may vary by location, business needs, workload, and operational requirements.

Pay

USD $16.80 – $19.50 per hour. Pay is issued bi‑weekly or via On‑Demand option.
