Pay
- $19.30 - $28.50 / hour
- Competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked.
- Nights and weekends receive additional pay based on a 4-hour minimum.
Responsibilities
- Triage emergency cases as they come in.
- Aid DVMs in crafting and reviewing estimates as needed.
- Perform diagnostics (radiographs, labwork, etc).
- Set up and discharge patients.
- Handle client communication.
- Provide nursing care according to hospital standards and core values.
- Report patient signalment, problem list, and plan during nursing rounds.
- Understand and monitor therapeutic response to commonly used medications.
- Administer medications via appropriate routes and duration.
- Perform phlebotomy.
- Perform physical exams, including counting heart, pulse rate, capillary refill time, mucous membranes, temperature, respiratory rate and effort.
- Possess a working knowledge of anesthesia/monitoring equipment and assist with ASA I or II classified patients.
- Remain current on R.E.C.O.V.E.R CPR guidelines and demonstrate proficiency in designated roles.
