About the role

The Outside Services Supervisor oversees the outside services team, ensuring exceptional customer service and professionalism for members and guests. This role manages key aspects of golf operations, including cart management, bag handling, and practice area setup, while maintaining operational efficiency and club standards. The Supervisor provides training, mentorship, and support to the team, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring a seamless golf experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Outside Services team, including recruitment, hiring, scheduling, and training to ensure consistent service excellence.
  • Monitor staff time reporting for accuracy and compliance with club policies, addressing discrepancies promptly.
  • Assist golfers with bag loading, club cleaning, and play preparation, offering etiquette guidance and answering questions.
  • Provide post-round support, including cleaning and transporting clubs to vehicles.
  • Oversee cleanliness, organization, and functionality of all outside service areas, including the golf cart fleet, club storage, and practice facilities.
  • Address maintenance needs or equipment issues promptly to ensure optimal readiness.
  • Collaborate with other golf operations staff (range attendants, marshals, starters) to ensure smooth service delivery across the course.
  • Maintain tidy and organized outside service areas, including the pro-shop, practice areas, and cart staging zones.
  • Ensure timely completion of daily assignments, such as practice facility preparation and pro-shop stocking.
  • Assist with additional tasks as needed due to the dynamic nature of the club.
  • Follow all company, club, and department policies, procedures, and instructions.
  • Represent the company’s management team by upholding policies and maintaining high standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Promote safe working practices and compliance with safety guidelines.
  • Take initiative in personal and professional growth, maintaining required certifications.
  • Resolve challenges using available resources and collaborate with regional and corporate teams.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role or strong knowledge of golf.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with members, guests, and staff.
  • Knowledge of golf etiquette, rules, and best practices.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to outstanding service.
  • High attention to detail and reliability.

Physical Requirements

  • Primarily outdoors with frequent exposure to extreme temperatures and humidity.
  • Physical tasks include sitting, standing, walking, climbing ladders, squatting/kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, twisting/bending, and lifting/carrying up to 100 lbs.
  • Requires talking, hearing, and seeing.

Schedule

  • Adherence to attendance requirements as outlined in the weekly schedule.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet position deadlines.
  • Availability to work on weekends and/or holidays as required.
