Essential Functions/Job Responsibilities
- Drive new business and foster new customers through cold calling, networking, and executing sales strategies.
- Maintain positive customer relations and ensure customer satisfaction on existing accounts.
- Create and adhere to a weekly customer visitation schedule to meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Distribute promotional flyers to customers.
- Undergo training on all product lines to develop and maintain product knowledge.
- Participate in fall protection courses and certifications as needed.
- Manage sales goals and provide regular reports on progress and client contact.
- Complete administrative duties such as sales plans, reports, expense reports, call logs, new sales goals, product availability, order monitoring, and financial reports.
- Participate in team initiatives, including a weekly showroom walkthrough, training sessions, and trade shows.
- Handle emergency deliveries for customers as directed.
- Represent the company in a professional manner in public settings.
- Maintain a neat appearance and protect company trade secrets.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- Support a collaborative culture and maintain a positive work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or department management.
Skills/Requirements
- At least 3 or more years of sales experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- Excellent communication skills, self-motivation, self-starting ability, sense of urgency, personability, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel.
- Proficiency in NetSuite.
- Ability to negotiate skillfully in various situations.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Enthusiasm for working in a flexible, team-oriented environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Finance Management is preferred.
Compensation
Starting at $91,000 per year based on experience. Includes a competitive salary and annual incentive programs.
