Responsibilities
- Represent products focused on Compact Construction Equipment; Track Loaders, Mini Excavators, and Telehandlers in a defined geographic territory.
- Focus on renting Compact Construction Equipment as well as renting some size classes of Main Line Construction Equipment.
- Target customers including general contractors, utility contractors, concrete contractors, landscape/hardscape contractors, and earthmoving contractors.
Requirements
- A friendly and outgoing demeanor, complemented by strong sales, negotiation, and closing skills, with a talent for building and maintaining long-term business relationships.
- Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, etc).
- Willingness to make "cold calls" in addition to nurturing and expanding existing relationships with well-established customer base.
- Keeping updated and thorough records of calls, leads, and sales forecasts within CRM software.
- Dedication to developing and managing a defined territory.
- Exceptional organizational, multi-tasking, time management, and communication skills.
- General knowledge of heavy construction equipment.
- Maintaining up to date product knowledge.
- Knowledge of selling techniques (prospecting, overcoming objections, closing sales).
- Demonstrating a proactive sales approach with a strong focus on meeting deadlines.
- General knowledge of retail financing.
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
