Outside Sales Representative

About the role

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to generate profitable business from the range of equipment your profit center specializes in. You will develop your assigned territory, implement sales plans to grow business and maintain the current customer base, and help build the national Sunbelt branding identity.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and build positive customer relationships
• Visit all customers within a five-week cycle
• Coordinate and participate in strategic entertainment of customers
• Prompt completion of all administrative duties, including sales plans and sales reports
• Collect payments from customers and maintain accurate customer records
• Maintain open communications with Marketing, Profit Center Manager, and Rental Manager regarding new equipment, equipment availability, and rental programs

Requirements

• 4-year college degree in a related field with at least 1 year of related experience OR 3-4 years of related sales experience
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• 21 years of age

Skills

• Strong project management, new business development, and customer retention skills
• Effective communication and negotiation skills
• Solid computer skills
• Knowledge of ground protection, construction, or specialty industrial equipment preferred
• Bilingual (Spanish) may be preferred in some locations

Physical demands

• Bending, squatting, crouching, reaching
• Lifting 50 pounds or more
• Working indoors/outdoors as required by the job

Pay

Base pay range: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00. Total compensation package includes base pay, company vehicle, and a robust commission plan. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including location, education, training, and experience.
