Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety in all responsibilities.
• Conduct yourself with professionalism and integrity with customers and coworkers.
• Serve as an empathetic problem solver by recommending the best pest solutions tailored to each customer’s needs, using in-depth training provided.
• Achieve sales goals through prospecting new business and assigned leads (supported by a robust advertising budget).
• Schedule and conduct in-home sales appointments to explain Orkin’s products and services.
• Perform 360 inspections of customers’ homes (interior and exterior) and identify issues.
• Make recommendations, address customer questions, explain processes, and set expectations.
• Use a provided iPad to prepare sales agreements and stay organized (training included).

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• No prior experience required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain required pesticide license/certification (company paid).
• Ability to work independently in the field and interact with clients.

Work Environment

Candidates must meet physical job requirements and safely perform duties with or without accommodations:

• Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer’s weight capacity.
• Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, etc., including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including an OSHA-compliant respirator when required.
• Work in various weather conditions.
