Outside Sales Representative

Responsibilities

• Understand Orkin’s termite protection services and make strategic recommendations to customers.
• Perform 360 inspections (attics, crawlspaces, etc.) to solve problems and build trusted relationships.
• Prioritize safety in all responsibilities and conduct yourself with professionalism and integrity.
• Serve as an empathetic problem solver, recommending tailored pest solutions using in-depth training.
• Achieve sales goals through prospecting new business and assigned leads (supported by a robust advertising budget).
• Schedule and conduct in-home sales appointments to explain Orkin’s products and services.
• Inspect interiors and exteriors of customers’ homes, identify issues, and make recommendations.
• Address customer questions, explain processes, and set expectations.
• Use a provided iPad to prepare sales agreements and stay organized (training included).

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• No prior experience required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain pesticide license/certification if required (company paid).
• Ability to work independently in the field and interact with clients.

Work Environment

Candidates must meet physical job requirements and safely perform duties with or without accommodations:

• Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer’s weight capacity.
• Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, rooftops, etc. (climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling).
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including an OSHA-compliant respirator when required.
• Work in various weather conditions.
