About the role

As a Pest Control Consultant, you will be the face of our national brand to your local community, selling industry-leading pest management services and products to residential customers while maintaining a customer-focused approach to grow the business. You’ll assess customers’ needs, perform expert analysis, and deliver solutions that protect homes and families.

Responsibilities

  • Visually inspect homes for pests, pest harborage, and pest entries
  • Sell pest control solutions and preventative maintenance plans based on assessment findings
  • Collaborate with the Customer Service Center, Inside Sales, and Technicians to identify opportunities
  • Partner with the Branch Manager to uncover revenue streams within the current customer base
  • Develop proposals to resolve existing pest issues and recommend additional household pest services
  • Complete home diagrams using the Sales CRM to ensure clarity on customer homes and potential challenges
  • Follow up on past proposals to close sales opportunities
  • Provide expert guidance during new service installations to ensure job satisfaction
  • Track daily activities and sales performance using the company sales CRM

Essential Job Functions

  • Ability to move up to 10 lbs. regularly and 11–20 lbs. frequently
  • Regularly sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
  • Navigate stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles; maintain balance on narrow or slippery surfaces
  • Comfort dealing with pests (e.g., spiders, flies, mosquitoes, rodents) and entering small spaces such as basements, crawl spaces, and attics
  • Safe operation of a motor vehicle; keep vehicle and equipment clean
  • Wear OSHA-compliant PPE, including respirators, and work in confined spaces or narrow passageways

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license from your current state of residence (Company vehicle and gas card provided)
  • Strong social, customer service, and communication skills
  • 1–2 years of pest technician or sales experience preferred
  • Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time within assigned territory(s)
