Outside Sales Millwork Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Find and complete sales of our full line of building materials and installed services with builders and subcontractors both residentially and commercially.
  • Manage jobs and relationships once a project is sold.
  • Keep up-to-date on customer product use and trends.
  • Visit job sites as needed.
  • Maintain schedules and resolve issues as necessary.
  • Present and sell all product lines, with a focus on millwork products.
  • Establish and grow relationships with customers in the market.
  • Develop presentations and provide expert advice on product features and benefits.
  • Do take-offs and prepare estimates for millwork products.
  • Ensure accurate and timely ordering and shipping of products.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years previous experience selling millwork products, including interior trim, interior doors, and interior hardware.
  • Ability to cold call and build relationships with customers.
  • Ability to read blueprints and perform take-offs.
  • Ability to visit job sites to measure doors and trim.
  • Demonstrated ability to increase sales and improve profitability.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong sense of customer service.
  • Decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid drivers license.
