Outside Sales Millwork Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Find and complete sales of our full line of building materials and installed services with builders and subcontractors both residentially and commercially.
  • Manage sales jobs and customer relationships once a job is sold.
  • Keep up-to-date information on customers' product use and trends.
  • Visit job sites as needed to measure doors and trim.
  • Put out fires related to job management.
  • Present and sell all product lines with a focus on millwork products.
  • Establish and grow relationships with customers in the market.
  • Develop presentations and provide expert advice on product features and benefits.
  • Prepare estimates and ensure accurate and timely ordering and shipping of products.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years previous knowledge and experience selling Millwork products including interior trim, interior doors, and interior hardware.
  • Ability to cold call future customers and grow relationships with existing customers.
  • Ability to read blueprints and do take-offs.
  • Ability to go to job sites to measure doors and trim.
  • Demonstrated ability to increase sales and improve profitability.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a strong sense of customer service.
  • Decision-making abilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Reliable transportation and valid drivers license.

  • Experience in other building materials is helpful.
