Outside Sales: Atlantic Tire Distributors

Atlantic Tire Distributors is seeking a full-time Outside Sales Representative to join our team in Knoxville, TN. This role focuses on building strong relationships with independent tire retailers, national and regional chains, and automotive dealerships while driving growth and delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and regularly contact prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders.
• Recommend products to customers based on their specific needs and interests.
• Answer customer questions relating to products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms.
• Solicit new accounts, as well as work on unsold accounts and existing accounts.
• Maintain margin and sales volume objectives.
• Work with car dealer parts and service departments, assisting dealers with warranty claims and point-of-sale materials.
• Attend trade events and industry networking functions.
• Collect past due accounts and manage expenses.
• Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
• Prepare drawings, estimates, and bids that meet specific customer needs.
• Identify prospective customers using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences.
• Arrange and direct delivery and installation of products and equipment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in tire sales is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• A two or four-year college degree is preferred but not required.

Work Environment

The job is typically performed in an indoor environment, though exposure to outside weather conditions is not uncommon. The employee may be required to stand for long hours and must regularly lift up to 50 pounds, frequently lifting or moving more than 100 pounds.
