About the role
An Outside Sales Rep (OSR) at JD Martin is responsible for driving revenue growth through interactions with channel partners, manufacturers, and end customers.
Responsibilities
- Engage with distributors and commercial & Industrial contractors to promote new products and provide solutions to customer challenges.
- Work closely with Inside Sales Reps (ISR) and channel partners to ensure effective product specification and market expansion.
- Build and maintain relationships with engineers, end users, contractors, and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs).
- Provide technical guidance on electrical products, raceways, installation products, transformers, and lighting.
- Manage multiple project pursuits simultaneously, demonstrating strong organizational and communication skills.
- Build professional relationships and solve customer problems, contributing to the growth of the business.
- Travel may be required to visit clients and attend trade shows.
Requirements
- Electrical products experience.
- Commercial & Industrial end-user and contractor relationships.
- Understanding of industrial end-user and electrical contractor challenges and applications.
- Effective organizational skills to handle multiple project pursuits.
- Ability to communicate and work with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Clear thinking and level-headed demeanor.
- A positive attitude and outlook.
