Outside Plant Supervisor

Company: Blue Ridge Communications. Shift: Monday‑Friday 8AM‑5PM and other hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Direct management, training, and coordination of unit installers and repair technicians
• Controlling inventory
• Monitor, maintain, test, and troubleshoot HFC broadband structure and branch network design
• Maintain courteous professional relationships between all BRC employees
• Play a significant role in resolving system issues by working with head end staff
• Inform upper management of any existing or potential issues when they arise
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or G.E.D.
• 3 years’ work experience in related field
• Established residency in Pennsylvania
• Valid PA Driver’s License and good driving record
• Knowledge of HFC Broadband architecture
• Experience with coax tree and branch network design, construction, and troubleshooting
• Experience with installation and troubleshooting modem, phone and video
• Knowledge of fiber design, splicing, and troubleshooting
• FCC Proof of Performance, CLI, and system maintenance
• Understanding of power supply maintenance
• Understanding of test equipment and troubleshooting programs
• Experience with surveys and locates
• Knowledge of OSHA, NEC, and NECS codes as it relates to the cable industry
