Outside Plant Foreman

About This Role

The ComTran Group is looking for an Outside Plant Foreman. As the Foreman you will be responsible of an underground crew and responsible for daily crew operations.

What You'll Do

• Safely operation of heavy equipment and machinery.
• Lead field crews to meet project schedules and production goals.
• Ensure all crew members comply with company safety policies and procedures.
• Train, mentor, and develop crew members.
• Maintain clear communication with project management, inspectors, and subcontractors as needed.
• Perform daily safety inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Ensure work is completed in accordance with project specifications, company standards, and customer requirements.

Schedule

• 10 hour shift
• 12 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

What You'll Bring

• Basic knowledge of underground telecommunications construction and industry best practices.
• Experience operating heavy equipment, including excavators, dump truck/trailers, and other construction equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and adapt in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, or hike for extended periods of time and long distances, bend, reach, and move to carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Working knowledge of health, safety and environmental protection practices and procedures as they apply to related construction processes.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and during varying shifts.
• Have and maintain a valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Have and maintain a valid CDL-A with clean driving record. (preferred)
• Must successfully complete drug screening and background check.
• Organizational skills and high attention to detail are a plus.
• Ability to work and hike in rugged terrain and inclement weather.
• Ability to safely drive/operate a 4x4 vehicle.
• Electric utility and telecommunications experience preferred.
• Willingness and ability to travel throughout various states as needed.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety, quality and productivity.
• Or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be acceptable.
