Outside Parts Salesperson
About the role
Develop and achieve maximum profitable sales volume of parts and labor services from assigned accounts in a designated territory. Analyze customer operations to ascertain future parts, service, and truck requirements. Oversee operations of assigned customers, advising or assisting them in areas such as inventory selection and control, service available, new products and services, etc.
Plan territory coverage and call upon key accounts (current and prospective) regularly to take orders, introduce new products and promotions, and provide literature. Complete weekly customer call sheets summarizing calls made. Control personal expenses within the approved budget and submit weekly expense reports.
Promote all MHC product and service offerings including RoadForce, Service, Body Shop, Truck Sales, Leasing, Carrier, and Finance. Investigate and refer customer complaints to the appropriate Department Manager and/or Branch Manager. Assist counter personnel with orders, deliveries, returns, inventory, and other tasks as assigned.
This position has been designated as safety-sensitive. Any lapse of attention could result in injury, illness, or death, including operating, repairing, maintaining, or monitoring heavy equipment, machinery, or motor vehicles, or handling hazardous materials and/or waste.

Requirements
- One year of automotive parts-related experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience dealing with the public in a sales or service capacity.
- Computer skills preferred.
