Outside Guest Services

Volcano Golf Course, located in Volcano, HI, is seeking a driven individual for the Outside Guest Services role. As part of Troon, you’ll contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

About the role

As a key member of the property’s golf operations team, the Outside Guest Services team reports to the Assistant Golf Pro and attends to the golf cart fleet and driving range.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional appearance
• Bring carts from the cart barn in the morning and return them at the end of the day
• Clean, fuel, and check carts after each use
• Clean and maintain the cart barn
• Ensure carts are available for player use at all times
• Receive and communicate complaints to the General Manager
• Work closely with Pro Shop staff to prepare for and conduct golf tournaments
• Implement and support all course policies and programs as communicated by management
• Attend to the driving range area (maintaining the tee area and picking the range) as needed
• Pull the flags on the golf holes at close each day
• Marshal the course as assigned by supervisor or manager
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager

• Friendly personality and enjoys working with the public
• Working knowledge of the rules of golf is preferred
• Ability to learn and enforce course policies, rules, and regulations
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely
• Current Driver’s License

Working Conditions

• Regularly required to reach with arms and hands
• Often required to walk, stand, talk, hear, handle, feel, or operate objects
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs occasionally
• Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, or crawl
• Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perception
• Moderate exposure to extreme cold, heat, working outdoors, mechanical hazards, and electrical hazards
• Exposure to pollens and dust
• Moderately quiet noise level
• Work weekends, holidays, and extended hours during golf and holiday season
