Outreach Specialist

About the role

Conduct direct recruitment activities, interface with outreach contractors, and ensure compliance with government and management directives. Provide outreach presentations, maintain accountability logs, and follow up on student progress.

Responsibilities

• Conduct public speaking and direct recruitment activities.
• Develop linkages with referral sources such as human services agencies, recreation centers, youth organizations, and churches.
• Participate in center tours and contact potential enrollees to explore enrollment.
• Arrange for reception of candidates upon acceptance to the program.
• Follow up on student progress, including length of stay and separation.
• Prepare, schedule, and provide outreach presentations in the assigned area and support regional outreach efforts.
• Maintain accountability logs of organizations contacted, individuals contacted, referrals to screening agencies, and subsequent enrollments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, communications, or closely related field; or an associate’s degree in the same fields and two years of related experience.
• Experience may include successful Job Corps outreach and admissions experience or successful outreach and admissions experience with other youth development programs.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required.

Pay

$29.48 per hour with opportunities for overtime and bonuses.

Schedule

Full-time, 8-hour shifts, Monday–Friday. Occasional nights and weekends may be required.
