Outreach Specialist

The Outreach Specialist role is offered by a partner company managing all applications and next steps. Based in the United States, this position supports better healthcare outcomes by connecting patients, providers, and pharmacies through innovative technology. Key responsibilities include:

1. Conduct outbound calls to pharmacies to support patient care initiatives and address medication-related cases.
2. Communicate professionally with pharmacy staff to resolve issues, gather information, and escalate cases when necessary.
3. Identify follow-up actions and create escalation tasks for clinical team members when additional support is needed.
4. Collect provider contact information and patient-related details needed for clinical interventions.
5. Maintain accurate documentation and records within internal software platforms.
6. Navigate phone systems, including IVR systems, while applying critical thinking to resolve challenges.
7. Participate in team meetings, workflow improvement discussions, and process optimization initiatives.
8. Support additional projects and operational activities as assigned.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience working in a high-volume healthcare call center environment.
• Familiarity with basic medical terminology and medication names, including brand and generic names.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Google Workspace tools and call center software such as dialers.
• Ability to manage questions, concerns, or resistance from pharmacy staff and escalate situations appropriately.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of protected health information (PHI) access requirements and responsibilities.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when documenting information.
• Able to work independently while contributing positively within a team environment.
• Availability to work 40 hours per week during operating hours of Monday-Friday, 6 AM-6 PM Pacific Time, with up to two rotating Saturday shifts per month.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Experience with auto-dialer systems is a plus.
