Outreach Instructional Assistant III (Yuma) (Multiple Positions) (Part-Time)

About the role

The University of Arizona, Yuma County Cooperative Extension seeks two part-time Outreach Instructional Assistant III positions. The ideal candidates will teach youth hands-on, experiential learning in agriculture through a school enrichment program.

Responsibilities

• Organizes, promotes, coordinates, and conducts Agriculture in the Classroom youth program.
• Maintains a viable program that includes recruitment, training, and recognition of schools, teachers, and students.
• Prepares curriculum, classroom activities, and other materials.
• Reviews and evaluates the effectiveness of teaching methods and work activities.
• Prepares periodic reports on program activities, progress, status, or other reports.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Ability to obtain a Driver's License.
• Ability to travel statewide using all modes of transportation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of teaching methods and curriculum development.
• Experience in working with youth and community-based organizations.
• Ability to manage and maintain a program budget.

Skills

• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

$16.50 - $20.63 per hour.

Schedule

Part-time, 20 hours per week.
