About the role
The University of Arizona, Yuma County Cooperative Extension seeks two part-time Outreach Instructional Assistant III positions. The ideal candidates will teach youth hands-on, experiential learning in agriculture through a school enrichment program.
Responsibilities
- Organizes, promotes, coordinates, and conducts Agriculture in the Classroom youth program.
- Maintains a viable program that includes recruitment, training, and recognition of schools, teachers, and students.
- Prepares curriculum, classroom activities, and other materials.
- Reviews and evaluates the effectiveness of teaching methods and work activities.
- Prepares periodic reports on program activities, progress, status, or other reports.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Ability to obtain a Driver's License.
- Ability to travel statewide using all modes of transportation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of teaching methods and curriculum development.
- Experience in working with youth and community-based organizations.
- Ability to manage and maintain a program budget.
Skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay
$16.50 - $20.63 per hour.
Schedule
Part-time, 20 hours per week.
