Outpatient Physical Therapist - Pelvic Floor

About the role

Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist in an outpatient clinic, collaborating with Uro-gynecology providers to address Women’s Health and Pelvic Floor issues, also serving men with pelvic pain and dysfunction.

Responsibilities

• Assess and develop personalized treatment plans utilizing exercise, massage, heat, and other modalities
• Evaluate functional ability
• Consult with medical staff
• Educate patients and caregivers
• Adapt therapy techniques
• Train medical personnel
• Supervise students and volunteers
• Document care activities
• Recommend home modifications
• Manage supplies and equipment
• Ensure insurance compliance
• Build patient rapport
• Participate in professional development
• Promote patient safety and quality care

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
• New Mexico Physical Therapist license or temporary license
• CPR certification
• Experience preferred but new graduates supported with mentorship
• Bilingual skills beneficial
• Physical ability to perform heavy work
• Ability to work in environments with potential chemical or dangerous material exposure
