Outpatient Physical Therapist-Full-time Days

About the role

The role is located within Rehabilitation Services at Northwestern Medicine, a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team providing world-class care at 10 hospitals and more than 200 locations in Chicago and northern Illinois. The team works closely with Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine to push boundaries in care delivery, train future rehabilitation specialists, and deliver exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provides accurate information and timely updates to patients and customers.
• Addresses questions and concerns promptly or identifies appropriate person and resources to do so.
• Maintains primary responsibility over patient plan of care through timely and consistent collaboration with treating PT/PTA's.
• Communicates effectively with others, respects diverse opinions and styles, and acknowledges the assistance and contributions of others.
• Participates in efforts to reduce costs, streamline work processes, improve and grow services provided.
• Contributes to educational efforts of department/clinic (e.g., in-services, journal clubs, new hire orientation, PI).
• Actively participates in student clinical or observation programs by serving as a clinical instructor, mentor, or observation host.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy.
• Licensed Physical Therapist in State of Illinois.
• BLS from American Heart Association upon hire.
• Masters or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy preferred.
• Vestibular and Concussion patient care experience preferred.
