Outpatient Physical Therapist

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and develops specific treatment programs for individual patients/residents based on their needs and in accordance with the principles and practices of physical therapy.
• Develops and implements evidence-based treatment plans to improve functional outcomes.
• Provides one-on-one, patient-centered therapy in an outpatient setting.
• Maintains timely and accurate documentation in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Contributes to program development for neuro-focused services, including vestibular or balance training, gait rehabilitation, or cognitive-motor integration.
• Participates in continuing education and staff training related to neuro rehab.
• Provides the appropriate level of clinical direction for Physical Therapy Assistants, Rehabilitation Technicians, Massage Therapists, Athletic Trainers, Fitness Specialists, Physical Therapy and Physical Therapy Assistant students and volunteers.
• Team members with temporary permits must work under the direct supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist that has been licensed for a minimum of six months. A supervising licensed Physical Therapist may only supervise one permittee at any given time.

Requirements

• Certifications And Licensures Required: BLS (Basic Life Support), PT (Physical Therapy) or PT (Physical Therapy) eligible to obtain, PT (Physical Therapy) temporary and licensure within 6 months.
• Required: Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
• PREFERRED: Master's or Doctorate's degree in Physical Therapy.
• PREFERRED: 1-year experience as a Physical Therapist.
