About the role
Provides direct patient care in an outpatient oncology setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, medication, and post-treatment needs.
Responsibilities
- Develops and documents individualized care plans.
- Collaborates with the healthcare team and ensures effective communication across care settings.
- Uses critical nursing skills to evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural values.
- Participates in activities promoting patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
- Engages in professional development and maintains a safe work environment.
Qualifications
- RN licensure required.
- Associate's degree in nursing required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- No prior experience necessary; less than 2 years preferred.
- Chemo Certification and previous oncology experience are preferred.
