Outpatient Oncology Infusion Nurse

About the Role

Provides direct patient care in an outpatient oncology setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care in accordance with standards.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, medication, and post-treatment needs.
  • Ensures patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, and participates in professional development.
  • Develops and documents individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
  • Assesses physical, psychosocial, emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs, considering patient preferences and barriers.

Requirements

  • Active RN license required.
  • Nursing diploma or associate’s degree; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • No prior experience required; less than 2 years of experience preferred.
  • Previous oncology experience and chemo certification are preferred.
  • Ability to work safely, maintain alertness, and adhere to safety protocols.

Schedule

Full-time, primarily day shifts.
