Outpatient Oncology Infusion Nurse

About the Role

Provides direct patient care in an outpatient oncology setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educates on illness management, and ensures safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Develops and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, addressing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs while respecting patient values and barriers.

Responsibilities

  • Educate patients and families on post-treatment care and medication management.
  • Participate in activities promoting safety, quality, and professional development.
  • Use critical nursing skills to assess patient needs holistically.
  • Communicate and coordinate care across the continuum.

Requirements

  • RN license required.
  • Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • No prior experience required; less than 2 years preferred.
  • Chemo certification and oncology experience are preferred.
  • Strong assessment, communication, and patient education skills.
