Role Overview
This position involves providing direct patient care within an outpatient oncology setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote patient and family-centered care, educating patients on illness management, medication administration, and post-treatment needs.
- Participate in ensuring patient safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance, along with ongoing professional development.
- Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans with clear goals, collaborating with the healthcare team and patients or caregivers.
- Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, cultural, spiritual, and population-specific factors.
- Work in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining alertness and safety at all times.
Qualifications
- Required: Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree, RN license, no prior experience necessary.
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and at least 2 years of experience.
