About the role
Optum is a clinician-led care organization changing the way clinicians work and live. As a Family Practice Physician in Las Vegas, NV, you’ll join a team delivering care within a supportive, data-driven environment that advances the Quadruple Aim. You’ll manage your own panel of adult patients (all ages including geriatrics and some older adolescents) Monday–Friday, collaborate with talented peers, and contribute to practice innovations that improve care for millions of patients nationwide.

- Full-time management staff, digital radiology, and onsite laboratory services across 14 clinic locations in Las Vegas
- Employed practice with Southwest Medical, emphasizing compassionate, appropriate, and effective patient care
- Commitment to professionalism, ethical care, and sensitivity to diverse patient populations
- Systems-based practice with awareness of larger health-care context and optimal resource use
Compensation and benefits highlights
- $245,000–$366,000 base salary annually (full-time)
- $100,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates
- Bonus plan and comprehensive fringe benefits package including medical, dental, and life insurance; STD/LTD; professional liability; matching 401(k); relocation costs
- 23 days PTO, one week paid CME with $4,500 allowance, and nine paid holidays
- Differential for supervision of extenders
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance; continuing medical education allowance with time off; professional liability insurance; generous retirement program with employer-funded contributions
Qualifications
- Family Medicine or Internal Medicine residency trained; board certified or board eligible
- Ability to obtain Nevada license, DEA, and pharmacy license
- Strong medical knowledge of biomedical, clinical, epidemiological, and social-behavioral sciences, applied to patient care
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with patients, families, and health professionals
- Sufficient computer skills to utilize Electronic Medical Records effectively
- Commitment to practice-based learning and improvement through self-evaluation, evidence appraisal, and patient-care enhancements
