Outpatient & Assessment Therapist

About the role

This is a multi-faceted position providing individual therapy, group therapy, and Comprehensive Needs Assessments. Licensure eligibility or licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) in Virginia is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual therapy and group therapy sessions
• Conduct Comprehensive Needs Assessments
• Obtain licensure through registration with the state board and weekly clinical supervision
• Build clinical skills for recent graduates of accredited counseling or social work programs
• Work with individuals across the life span diagnosed with mental illness (SMI, SED, At-risk) and/or substance use disorders

Requirements

• Licensure eligibility or licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) in Virginia
• Willingness to consent to background checks, including checks for barrier crimes, and drug screening

Qualifications

• Recent graduate from an accredited counseling or social work program
• Experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental illness (SMI, SED, At-risk) and/or substance use disorders

Skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong clinical skills
