Overview
Provide guests with exceptional service to achieve customer satisfaction, quality service, compliance with corporate/franchise policies, and financial goals.
Responsibilities
- Check station before, during, and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.
- Greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner and explain specials or promotions.
- Record order details, repeat them to the guest for accuracy, and input into the Point of Sale system.
- Retrieve orders up to 30 lbs. from the kitchen, confirm accuracy, and deliver to guests with appropriate condiments.
- Abide by all state, federal, and corporate requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.
- Replenish beverages as necessary and check guest satisfaction.
- Market and serve dessert items or specialty coffees upon request.
- Operate Point of Sale procedures to pre-check and close out orders.
- Present the check to guests promptly.
- Comply with attendance rules and perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
- Willingness to assist co-workers and work as a team player.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
- Knowledge of appropriate table settings, service ware, and menu items.
- Ability to remember, recite, and promote menu items.
- Ability to transport large trays weighing up to 30 lbs. through crowded areas continuously during shifts, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to operate beverage and toast equipment, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers, and patrons.
- Ability to operate a keyboard and learn Point of Sale procedures.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style for different audiences.
