Taking guests’ orders
- Runs food.
- Handles cash & other forms of payment.
- Performs proficient sales transactions using a point-of-sale system.
- Checks I.D.s for guests who appear to be under 30 years old.
- Demonstrates responsible alcohol service.
- Demonstrates impeccable product knowledge.
- Suggests products using proven techniques.
- Answers questions accurately and politely.
- Satisfies any/all needs of guests, regularly double checking back with guests throughout their experience.
- Maintains a clean & organized station, including pre-bussing & table maintenance.
- Performs opening, closing & side duties, such as setting up/breaking down station, refilling condiments, cleaning ashtrays, etc.
- Demonstrates knowledge of all table/station numbers.
- Directs guests to areas & restrooms.
- Creates memorable experiences.
- Entertains guests to create “Raving Fans.”
Experience, Education, And Certifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Fulfills all food safety & sanitation procedures.
- In some U.S. states, a food safety certification program is required to be completed before serving food or alcohol, which may include obtaining a food handlers card.
