About the role
Grand Geneva in Lake Geneva is a 1,300 acre, AAA Four Diamond resort and spa recognized as a Top Resort in the Midwest by Conde Nast Traveler. This award-winning, all-seasons destination features over 746 guest accommodations, the WELL Spa & Salon, two championship golf courses, fitness facilities, a ski hill and terrain park, and 9 unique food and beverage outlets.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests and explain specials & promotions.
- Understand the menu and wine list, including ingredients and preparation.
- Record and input guest orders into the Point of Sale system.
- Retrieve, confirm, and deliver orders with condiments; follow liquor regulations.
- Replenish beverages and ensure overall guest satisfaction.
- Collect payment, thank guests, and invite them to return.
- Complete side work and cleaning tasks, including restocking and replenishing condiments.
- Maintain self-banking procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum two years of service experience in fine dining.
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, and etiquette.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Service-oriented with the ability to take direction.
- Strong communication skills and familiarity with hospitality.
- Ability to build effective relationships with management, staff, and the public.
- Transport trays up to 30 lbs. through crowded spaces.
- Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
