Outlet Server - NYY Steak

About the role

The Server at NYY Steakhouse is responsible for taking guests through the key phase of their Hard Rock experience. Key responsibilities include taking guests' orders, running food, handling cash and other forms of payment, making proficient sales transactions, properly checking IDs, demonstrating responsible alcohol service, suggesting products, answering questions, satisfying guests' needs, maintaining a clean and organized station, performing opening, closing, and side duties, and creating memorable experiences.

Responsibilities

• Taking guests' orders
• Running food
• Handling cash & other forms of payment
• Making proficient sales transactions - using a point-of-sale system
• Properly checking I.D.s – for guests who appear to be under 30 years old
• Demonstrating responsible alcohol service
• Suggestive selling - using proven techniques
• Answering questions - accurately and politely
• Satisfying any/all needs of the guests - regularly double checking back with guests throughout their experience
• Maintaining a clean & organized station – including pre-bussing & table maintenance
• Performing opening, closing & side duties – setting up/breaking down station, refilling condiments, cleaning ashtrays, etc.
• Demonstrating knowledge of all table/station numbers
• Directing guests to areas & restrooms
• Creating memorable experiences
• Entertaining guests to create “Raving Fans”

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and evenings. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to communicate effectively with guests and co-workers. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Must be able to follow directions and complete tasks accurately and efficiently.

Qualifications

Experience in a fast-paced service-oriented environment preferred. Knowledge of POS systems preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Pay

Hourly wage is $11.35/hr. Pay range is $2 - $50.
