About the Role
This position involves providing osteopathic manual therapy (OMT) as a Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) in a part-time capacity. The role focuses on diagnosing, treating, and supporting the body's natural healing process through hands-on techniques.
Responsibilities
- Perform osteopathic manual therapy to relieve pain, improve mobility, and enhance overall health.
- Use various techniques such as myofascial release, muscle energy, soft tissue methods, counterstrain, and spinal mobilization.
- Assess and diagnose conditions by applying hands-on pressure, stretching muscles, and manipulating joints.
- Collaborate within a comprehensive care approach, often integrating OMT with other treatments or as an alternative to medication or surgery.
Requirements
- Active, clean license to practice as a DO.
- Experience in osteopathic manual therapy and skills in IV therapy and manual techniques.
- Strong understanding of the interconnectedness of body systems and the ability to apply various manual techniques effectively.
