About the role

The position involves participating in the rotating APP orthopedic practice, offering urgent care walk-in and scheduled visits. The schedule is flexible with no call burden, and responsibilities include initial evaluations and treatment of ambulatory orthopedic urgent care consults.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the rotating APP orthopedic practice.
  • Offer urgent care walk-in and scheduled visits.
  • Perform initial evaluations and treatment of ambulatory orthopedic urgent care consults.
  • Conduct splinting, bracing, casting, and orthopedic injections/aspirations in outpatient clinic settings.

Requirements

  • Must have or be eligible for a DEA license.
  • Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred.
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider from AHA required with an expiration date greater than 90 days from the start of practice.
  • Appropriate critical thinking, interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritize and make proactive decisions.

Qualifications

Pay

$54.90 - $82.35 based on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and/or training.

Schedule

4 x 10 hr shifts weekly; 2 Saturdays monthly.
