About the role
We are seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to provide orthopedic trauma surgery coverage in a Level 1 trauma center.
Responsibilities
- Manage complex cases
- Perform OR procedures
- ICU and hospital rounding
- Support the emergency department
- Post-operative care
- Consultations
- Support the surgical team
- Utilize eClinicalWorks EMR system
Requirements
- ACLS or ATLS certification
- Prescriptive authority
- Experience with reductions and washouts
Qualifications
- Current PA license
- Experience in orthopedic trauma surgery
- Ability to work day shifts from 6am to 2pm on weekdays
- Take 24-hour call shifts on weekends
- Average of 20 patients daily
Skills
- Excellent clinical skills
