Physician Associate - Orthopedics

About the role

MaineHealth Orthopedics and Sports Medicine – Brunswick is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join their established, high-volume practice. Considered applicants would be joining a strong, cohesive group of 6 Surgeons and 4 Physician Assistants. The ideal candidate would thrive in a team-based atmosphere of cross-coverage and daily inpatient rounding. This integrated practice provides on-site radiology as well musculoskeletal rehabilitation services.

Schedule and call coverage

This is a 40-hour per week position, typically including 1 operating room day and 3 clinic days. This position includes call coverage of 1:6, which primarily involves low volume phone calls in the evening and weekend rounding.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Maine PA-C license, or the ability to obtain state licensure prior to employment
• Board Certified/Board Eligible
• Must have at least 2 years of experience in Orthopedics and/or OR
• Comfortability working in hand-surgery is highly desirable
