Associate Professional
About the role
SCS Engineers is looking for an Associate Professional to assist with the workload of diverse, challenging solid waste projects in Madison, WI. Initially you will provide engineering support to our existing solid waste practices consisting of landfill, leachate, and landfill gas design, air permitting, and construction oversight for private and municipal clients.
Responsibilities
- Prepare engineering calculations to support reports and design and permit documents
- Prepare engineering and permitting design drawings using AutoCAD/Civil3D
- Prepare permit applications and regulatory agency submittals and responses with supporting documentation
- Collect samples from hazardous and non-hazardous sites, including: soil, air, surface water, groundwater, and landfill gas
- Conduct and document construction quality assurance observations in the field to ensure compliance with construction documents
- Complete quality control reviews on all work (reports, design plans, design calculations, data, etc.) prior to submission
- Cookordination with contractors, subcontractors, and clients
- Prepare short form site-specific health and safety plans
- Participate in health and safety training
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science required
- Minimum 3 months of relevant engineering internship, work and/or research experience required
- Valid Driver’s License with a driving record in good standing required
Pay
Pay Range: USD $65,000.00 - USD $68,000.00 /Yr.
